roller cams are better but more expensive:

90,s Fairlanes and later are roller cam engines , all are injected as standard, easy to convert to carbbut watch length of oil pump drive! as distributor lengths are different!

roller rockers& roller lifters just cut down parasitic losses, realy onlyfor highly modified enginesotherwise notworth the expense ( they arent cheap & requireother valvetrain work .Justget port job donemild camgood dual plane manifold &vacumm secondary4bbblholley &set headers . Assuming its just for streetuse .

if you want to use a late model roller motor and convert it to a carby motor you will need to fit an older style timing cover if you want to run a mechanical fuel pump, and a fuel pump drive on the cam. then you will need a standard rotation waterpump, the serpentine belt driven ones rotate the oopposite way, and a set of pulleys. And probably a standard sump and pick-up. Then manifold carb and dizzy

Yep had one, didnt do the work myself though. 2 main changes were modification to headers on drivers side to clear PS box, and also the starter motor was moved to passenger side of bell housing - for clearance issues as far as i know.

Dont have the car anymore - but do still have the motor and c4.

Windsor is much easier, clevo can be done but its a headache whereas the windsor is pretty much a bolt in if you change to a V8 K frame.

yip, had a cleveland powered ea. used a small hi torque super starter in the original position, had to massage the firewall just behind the passengers cylinder head for clearance, and customised the right side header to fit around steering. if you can use an eb v8 front subframe with a v8 power steering rack (better clearance than the six cylinder rack) and then you can use the original windsor eb v8 mounts on the cleveland
