have a standard diesel car92405 peugeot ,having driven a turbo model lately ,keen to put a turbo on mine ,what the ins and out and problems ,any thing I should be aware of ,thanks

It's not as simple as bolting on a turbo, you'll need all the parts and fittings and you'll also need to get it certified. Sell your and buy a turbo one if you must have one

car is a low mileage, one owner so its a keeper just like a bit more power ! might buywrecked turbo diesel car and swap bits over ,if i can . There is a certifier down the road,but he is hardly ever home and hard to get hold of, still need some advice from any body who has done similar job thanks

There are 10 405s on TM. All of them under $4k. Just get a turbo diesel model.
Or get the Mi16 when one pops up.

you need to change the injectorpump and the exhaust manifold with the turbo and you also need to change the oil feeds in and out from non existant to turbo, all in all way to mutch work to bother i would say.

also adjust your valve clearance they are shimmed and no one ever does that instead of wanting to add a hairdrier . shimms are under the buckets they are not hydraulic they only look like that.

also you want to run flashlube in every tank because the pump is almost seezing it self with the new low sulfur diesel causing powerloss andcomplet destruction sooner or later. Flashlube and morreys stop-smoke additive are the best 2 that i have tested with morreys having a cetan boster for the we extra punch. I know the morreys works as i run my hilux on waste engine oil and it started making noise from not enough cetan a good squirt and it runs quite like it was running diesel again. Anotherbad thing is the lucas injector pumps suffer from huge powerloss with ulsd fuel like my tipo has a broken pump and solong as i keep adding flashlube it managed to pump enough diesel again to the injectors
Looked a 406 2.1 awhile back,lucas pump craped out,she quoted 3.5k to fix by workshop,walk away!The bosh the better pump arnt they!Had the head off a 1.9 Xantia,did turbo while in there,they go well alrite,had bosh pump on it,be better to just find one with turbo.
Did the 406 with the faulty fuel pump end up in the bin !
