Are you set on those options! What about a nice Honda Accord or Accord Euro! If you are set, go for the Mazda.

I had a Mazda 6 wagon as a work vehicle (2008 new) and hated it. Very unconformtable and heaps of road noise. Had a ford Mondeo next (2011 new) and it was awesome!

Out of the two, the Mazda 6, but I will do a Jazz and suggest the Honda Accord Euro, won Wheels magazine car of the year.
