Isuzu BIGHORN. It just doesnt have that effect on me.

freedomaira320, Mar 25, 11:39pm
Complain about misspelt names and you write Mazda Familiar! Even if you had got it right, it's pretty hard to consider it a good car name.

And for the uneducated, Qashqai is the name of a nomadic Central Asian tribe. I think it is one of the best car names out.

gunhand, Mar 26, 12:22am
Well name some yourselves then. Without breaching copyrights etc. Or of course been used before.
Then have a go at naming paint colours. All one million of them.

kokako14, Mar 26, 1:58am
The Ford Ka.
They had to call it the Ka.there wasn't anyroom to put any more letters on the car

drsr, Mar 26, 2:15am
I was disappointed to find this was a made-up car. There was a Toyota Deliboy though. The "Gaylord Gladiator" looks like it would have been awesome: http://autos.in.msn.com/specials/autos_photos.aspx!cp-documentid=5431017&page=17

muffin2, Mar 26, 3:40pm
why would there be any threat of litigation for a name like 'Cougar' or Cruize'! it's not like anyone owns the rights to the name Cougar!

funkydunky, Mar 26, 3:46pm
TIIDA
Cynos B

bjmh, Mar 26, 7:02pm
just saw a Honda"FIT "!

freedomaira320, Mar 26, 7:30pm
Well someone does actually. And, oddly enough it is Ford themselves. Remember the Mercury Cougar! But if another manufacturer had used that name then of course they wouldn't be able to use it.

But seriously, Ford made a conscious decision to use this name. It certainly seems odd to me, but if the car is successful all that wil be forgotten in a few years. Eyebrows were raised when VW named their new small car Golf, but it's unthinkable to call it anything else now.

I've had two of those.still kicking myself for selling them. Good little off roaders, leaf sprung rear end with LSD, bullet proof 2.8 diesel motors.

Wasnt there a Dodge "LIL General" or some such!
I can stand "LIL" anything.

freedomaira320, Mar 27, 3:29pm
Do you mean the Dodge Li'l Red Express truck! Not a bad name for a unique limited edition vehicle back in the 70s.

swfc1867, Mar 27, 6:24pm
Absolutely! I remember when Peugeot released the 4007 and they made it very clear it was a four thousand and seven. not four double oh seven. even though all of their previous models had the zero pronounced as "oh".
