Hi guys. We've done a V8 XB fairmont conversion to a Capri. It now has the struts from the Fairmont, which are 5 stud. We want to get the smallest rims possible on it to retain the period look of the car. Is it likely that 13" or 14" rims fit or are we looking at having to go bigger? Cheers

XB were 14in,there was a local who put a crate 4V 351 Cleveland into a MK2 Capri,in those days there were b/all choice of wheels. they used the Falcon ones.It was a bit of a fire-breather in its day, best measured flying mile at car club was 132 m.p.h / 212kph . as the criteria for fast back then was a ton . it seemed quick.Bloody Honda civic would probably do that now, still V8 sounds good ha ha.
You might be lucky to get 13" wheels over the brakes. 14's with low profile tyres might be the best option. Or, just tutu with the tyre profile to suit.
Funny thing - a guy turned up the other day with a stuffed trailer, wanting to know how cheap it could be patched up for. I told him the best he could do was sell what was left of the frame for scrap and put those Zephyr wheels on Trade Me.

Early L300 Mitsi ones were 13" and fit Ford - but not sure how well they will clear the XB brake calipers.

Thanks for all the advice! I'll keep an eye out for rims on here. Or suppose we will have to look at getting custom wheels made up by Arrow or Elite. Rostyles would be great but unfortunately they're designed around a 4 stud pattern!
By the looks of those photos, you won't have much room for negative offset wheels without major expensive surgery. Find some mates with late model Falcons, and try their wheels on. You might be hard pressed to find any smaller than 16", but with the right profile tyre, they could fit. What do those wheels already on it, come off?
You're probably gunna want some wheels on the back with a fair bit of positive offset. (That's wheels with a lot hanging inside the hub plane) Take the back wheel off, put a straight edge across the hub and measure inwards to a point where you think the inside of a rim should be (with room for a tyre) That's the max inside offset you need. Whatever you've got outside, needs to fit inside the wheelarch.

14" Mazda Capella/ ford Telstar wheels are an option.
