Well legally no as its a bigger motor, it needs compliance, but I don't think that's what your asking! If no one knows search online to get mitsis own code for engine, then Google that and see what variants there were, if other engine is variant good chance it fits. Most of this stuff is on wiki.

Should be the 4G92 16V SOHC engine, I think by 93 they did away with the anaemic 4G32. I think the 2L 4G63 L300 box will bolt up, but not the 2.4L 4G64 L300 box.
