So many on the market whats a good set to get.

I've put driving lights on a few of my vehicles and my current van has a set of HELLA COMET FF200 SPREAD BEAM DRIVING LAMPS.
They are the best I've ever had, much better than the generic brands such as SuperCheapAuto etc

They look really silly on older cars that obviously didn't have them at birth.

Daylight running lights are a safety item, not a fashion accessory, so one shouldn't be concerned with what they look like.

yes mack77 is correct, anything to enhance safety is a good start.
