It is a newer and bigger car. Toyota wouldn't introduce a model that is worse than its forebear

Op, only because you've obviously been worried about feul consumption, and this thread is now rather long going, I'll ask; do you need to be high with extra ground clearance? Because if not you'll get same interior space, better feul consumption, and handling (though you've said that's not an issue) in a saloon/ hatch/ wagon. For instance Honda Civic or accord. Just mentioning.
