Hi guys, whats the story with rego'ing and warranting a trailer these days? .
Got an old trailer off a farmer mate, been sitting for years, had no plates etc, have rebuilt it so can i go to say the postshop and rego it, get plates and then get a warrant or does it need to go to the testing station for the lot? .

Register as a rebuilt trailer, grab the plate & go down to your fav garage vtnz *cough* etc & get your new wof . Done

Just take it to a VTNZA testing station and get it all done at the same place, why go to a post shop first?

If it has an old plate on it will they put that back in the system or do they have to supply a new one.I have the same last rego 9 years ago.

Normally a new plate.

My old single axle trailer I bought off some back yard mechanic is registered as a double axle (well the plate is at least). No eyebrows raised at VTNZ when I take it for a wof/rego.
