Not sure what to do with this car. Its a 1999 auto and want it gone.Would it be worth while trying to off load it on T/M or send it to a wreckers.Aside from this, its in really good condition, but I have no need to fix it as have replaced with new car.Thoughts please? Thanks heaps.

Depends on model and condition. If it's a real nice GTi maybe someone will think it worth a fix, or more likely replace auto.
Lots of pictures and honest report and $1 reserve?

NZdoug, I get a malware warning for that link!

I reckon sell it for what you can get.

I've got a '97 wagon in super tidy condition, leather etc, with a stuffed transmission.
I think repairing it myself would be the only financially viable option if I wanted to keep it, otherwise sell it for what I can get.
In going order it would probably only be worth a couple of grand.

If I knew a youngster that wanted a project, I would give it to him as long as he had some money to spend on it.

$1 reserve and be honest. You might be surprised.

Trans flush might sort it out, replacement auto isn't dear either for a DIY.
Or find someone who doesn't use reverse. theres a few that cant lol.

If it is an 01M they are like hens teeth!

There are otherwise good Golfs all over the country with stuffed automatics!

Yes you do. But it is a real vw forum. You can trust it.

Jeez. That will flush Jazz out of hiding if anything will.

Ya, I get a malware warning on my mac laptop but not my iPad.
I check in daily and still here.

It may be safe now, but at some point in the recent past that site was serving malware - it'd pay to tread very carefully
