mals--we will have to agree to disagree dude.I genuinely feel that with the little kids bikes that the suzu./yam stuff is better than the Honda stuff. Better fit etc and better power delivery for a kid. build quality is as good.

My son started on JR50 then to a JR80 for the basics being tall for his age he outgrew the JR80 quickly we found the best option after that for a tall kid was a KX85 BW with a weighted fly wheel could lug it round like a four stroke down low and as he got better he learned to use more of the top end.Far better suspension then a DRZ125 type bike and a lot lighter.

yes could of worded it better. If he fits get a JR80 would be my recommendation get the basics sorted then get on to KX85 or similar.

Yea sorry dude I come across as a know it all git. I guess the point is there is NO dead set correct answer. Every kid is different in how they react to a situation. ya just don't know how a kid will react till leg is over bike.
