Agreed with Intrade. Suddering for a Honda Auto Transmission is a bad sign. Some models of Honda Auto Transmission have known weaknesses. Early V6 Odyssey being one of them.

If you can stomach it, go to Honda for advice. Otherwise go an Automatic Transmission Specialist who knows a lot about Honda. A change of transmission Oil (not flushing) may fix it. Otherwise it may be rebuild time.

I have a 1995 2.2 Odyssey. The auto transmission in this car is very small and won't tolerate much heavy towing (limit is 700kg braked) or full power driving according to what I've heard. If the auto transmission is faulty, you will probably find that it's cheaper to buy another car than to get it repaired.

How are you going to change the filter on a honda transmission when there is no pan?
