are you sure it is 2.8, i have one same year and it is 3l turbo, had it for 8 years still very pleased with it, a bit noisey but , goes real well. use it for towing a fifth wheel caravan

Put 240,000km on mine and the only thing it needed was a cam gear (dropped a tooth which is rare to unheard of). Apparently it's still going strong with it's new owner at over 300,000km. Everything had worn well, no rattles, doors still shut nice, carpets still good, upholstery still good and we would have kept it but needed a smaller car

I had a 2001 and did 425 000 k's and currently have a 2008 model, done 230000 . Only problem has been air con on both. The current one is common rail but we seemed to have avoided all the problems experienced by Nissan and Toyota

Will be the last of the TF series before the RA 3.0L was introduced in mid '03
Vin number starts with TFR55. (2wd) or TFS55. (4wd). The '55' denotes 2.8L 4JB1 engine.
(Some late TF's had 3.0L 4JH1 diesel (77 replacing 55 in vin number))
Good reliable Isuzu vehicle - pretty much that's all that can be said. lol. Look for worn rear shackle bushes, idler bushes, not much else from memory
