Looking at purchasing an approx 2013 model (up to about $33k) - tossing up between both these models as they are about the right size for our family with AWD. Looking at petrol model as most travel will be around city with ocassional long trips. Diesel out of price range anyway. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Both excellent vehicles, I would say the RAV4 is slightly bigger, the kuga looks better, the RAV will hold it's value slightly better, both go excellent. test drive each and see what you think, that's the best way.

Markv1-IMO the 2400cc rav4 is a better vehicle mechanically,
