Avengers are one of those cars that were considered duds I the day, behind the times technology, staid manners etc. Yet now I reckon they're cool!

ummm not that i remember but have 2 x 1600cc engines still in cars and one in storage all with gear boxes also doors ect in storage my dad was a fan of them he brought 3 new ones in his life time

Motor & box would be needed & then a cert. 1300 to 1725 & a very different looking engine & box.

pity found you a section with at least 3 hunters,old cornaka tucked away there,maybe a humber 80. I'm sure the guy has what you're looking for ,but I still haven't caught up with him to ask. he's the hoarder from hell. but you never know
They were THE model to own. Very quick (for the time), and better handling than the standard model. The only drawback was the twin carburettor set-up. These were a pain in the arse to balance, but once they were, the car flew like a bird.

The lad has gone the desperation route & brought an engine from Wellington, (sight unseen of course but lot's of promises). Him & a couple of mates are on their way down from Hamilton tomorrow for a day trip there & back
