Does anyone know if there is somewhere where one could get a second hand car battery?. do the auto wreckers sell them etc?. Long story but I need to start up my car that has a damaged head gasket thing going on but the battery is crap and I want to just get a cheap one to start her up with. Sorry if the above does not make sense. I know very little about cars, can only manage to check my water and oil really. Thanks:)

Wreckers do sell batteries. Some of which may be nearly new.

car battery what ever fits the bigger the better. if you have a 2005 onwards car you better get the new one and a correct one some need programming in to the car as par size etc if the car has a smart alternator.
