Nissan Tiida 2004 Camera not responding

kail85, Oct 5, 5:41pm
Model:
Nissan Tiida 2004 (Japan imported) hatchback with two cameras: reverse camera + blind spot camera. Both are manufacturer fitted.

Symptom:
Both cameras suddenly stopped working. In reverse gear, the screen is totally black. The switch to blind-spot camera is not responding. It just looks like the cameras are not powered. However, the head unit is totally fine. I can still use it to receive radio, bluetooth, playing music, etc. And the screen is also perfectly fine.

Current progress:
Had a electrician checked but could not locate the issue. Guess that cameras are fine just the controlling unit may not work.

Anyone experienced similar issue before? Please, any related information are appreciated.

You need to get 12 volt supply to the wire that triggers the camera to see if the unit is working, a good auto sparky should be able to sort it, If the camera does go then you need to trace the (wiring diagram) colored wire to where it goes, and see if 12 volt is there. Its not too complicated to figure out but may take a bit of time if you have some skills. Good luck.
