Not surprised Kaz , not a lot going on during lock down . Now before Covid hit , a certain Ohlins super dooper specialist required a 3 month wait for any work to be done . A Wellington bike shop got the job and was a 1 week turn around . I then get told i was hasty making that decision . No regrets here , very happy with the work . I had to laugh , like its all right for your mother to think your special , but when you start thinking yourself as special and any1else knows bugger all your going to run into problems . Pretty sure you can guess who . So now gn is at the shop what now . Book it in another month down the track to follow up a guess . Re bike shops , what would majority of bikes be booked in for ? routine service work or have they all broken down at once .

The original GN was a 250cc,ticked all the boxes except for the seat height
had to stand on the pegs to straighten my back:that eventually was the basis for me selling another wise good bit of engineering.

For the life of me I never understood why they didn't bring in a more "ujm" style bike based on that engine/frame.--Something like the Honda CB250 rs. They did it with the GN125--ie the EN125
So easy to work on. and the only issue was rocker lobes/cam lobe wear.
