A coon with four on the floor and no driver aids, that would be able to accelerate side by side with a Lamborghini or Ferrari of the same era, I can understand why people who know what they are, are such big fans.
In this day and age surely there are much cheaper ways of putting 350hp in a 70s coon? Have to wonder what will happen to these cars when the people who are old enough to know (or care) what they are, are gone.

A Falcon GTHO was never, and never will be in the same league as a Bugatti. I too wondered about what happens to the price when that cultural memory dies out.

I have to admit my preference would obviously be a Bugatti but personal preference is not the point I'm making.
There was a time when old Bugatti's were cheap because no one wanted them.

In the video it says the big block has been removed, but it does come with spare parts which include a top loader gearbox and a V8 motor. So it might be the original number block.

Talked to a driver of one at the Garston (Queenstown) pub who claimed his was original. Had a custom plate which did show as correct online.

I wouldn’t restore it. Just get it back on the road. Having the roughest road legal GTHO in the world would be pretty cool.
