Tyre question.

I have 205/65/15s on the back of my Commodore ute which are nearly gone, so with winter coming on and needing new tyres anyway I'd like to go a bit bigger if I could. Would I get 215 or even 225 on there! They appear to be the factory mags and the current tyre even looks a bit slim. I want to maintain a good sidewall depth too for comfort and large rolling diameter. I dont want to change the mags. Cheers.

What model! S!

From memory, 225/60 have the same rolling diameter as the 205/65, but you'd want an actualy tyre guy to look at that.

Do you have the owner's manual! That might say.

yep 225/60 will give you the effect you desire.

Im a bit old school. It was all I could do to find a Commodore ute in my price range that had normal wheels and springs! I got a 1995 VS with only 150k, absolutely loved by the few previous owners and totally unmolested. (It even still has the tape deck in it) There wont be many like mine round now Im guessing. Almost mint nick too. I did test drive a few with really thin tyres and its exactly like you say, very hard ride, not my thing at all.
