I have a problem and

Google is not helping and the husband is getting frustrated. The lever that opens the door to the fuel cap is jammed and won't open the cover. He had pulled bits apart and looks like it's the lever not the actual cover that's the problem. Maybe a stretched cable? But he can't figure out how to adjust it. It's a 2003 holden commodore if anyone can help

unbolt the lever.Unclip the cable from the lever. You can then pull on the inner cable and establish where the issue actually is.
Might be busted cable, might be bent fuel flap, etc.
If it is stretched one trick is to VERY slightly stretch the outer cable.

try from the boot, pull they whole cable to try get it open, then adjust it back at lever or replace cable.good luck!

easy go to holdon and ask them to look up on there computer system what parts are fitted. i would have assumed a 2003 would be electronic i know my 2001 vw has a electronic tank release not a cable

If it was Electric wouldnt it be a button not a lever?
