1982 EX Lancer 5 speed. Rev counter stays on 1000 and only go up to 1200 rpm for first 10 min of driving then returns to normal. What is wrong! Earth problem! Thanks.

faulty tachometer I would say - but good luck finding another 1600cc EX cluster!
