What grade id recommended, 5w-30 or 10w-30! Done 93000k.

either would be fine.

Don't waste money buying 5w-30 for it, unless it's operating in the Arctic.

in most cases the difference in cost between 5W30 and 10W30 would be minimal. 15Wxx is more than ample for our "cold" temperatures, but you aren't going to find many 15W30 oils on the market. 10W40 or 15W40 would probably be just fine too, but I would stick to a xxW30 weight if possible.

OK thanks. This is my partners car, and I use Pennzoil 10w-30 in my Avenir, so will probably use the same for the Vitz.

Handbook says 5w-30 which is what i use .I can only presume that it does have some bearing on the economy.e.g.Whakatane -palmerston north 5.75 litres per 100 kilometres.on more than one occassion!

NO--sorry but do use 5 w 30. The vitz has a VVTi engine that when cold needs 5 weight oil when cold or the ebgine check light comes on
