had a turbd mitzi cordia back in the day (2nd car actually) brought it off this rally crowd up in riverhead. took that off the 240km/h clock down the bombay hills south bound, before they did the road change - stopped to pick up a hitch-hiker just before that corner with the church (lucky cause that was a pretty bad corner at those speeds lol. took 2-3 sec for the needle to register back on the cluster. hitch-hiker picks up my door mold as he runs down to my car.

Ahh ok, it's not actually a V8 supercar (they have been asked in the past to remove the V8 Supercars logo from their website), it's a pimped out V8 and it doesn't do 280km/hr, top speed is around 240km/hr.although they did used to say on their website it does 300km/hr - yeah right, lol.
But luckily for you they turned up, a lot of the time they don't and luckily the car was actually working after Fogg plowed it into the back wall @ Puke a few weeks ago when one of the wheels fell off it ;-)

chipped or speed cut removed was it. speedo only goe's to 180, and speed cut is like 188Ks.

looked like a v8 supercar to me (older one), the engine looked the same when they took off the cover too. On my run one of the tires burst (at the hairpin luckily), yes i heard about foggy crashing it a few weeks back. I get another 3 laps so worked out pretty good :)

Yes very true and even better if you do 40-45kph around town and 70-80 on the open road. Great way to make lots of friends with other motorists who toot and 'wave' to show their happiness with a safety conscious driver.

Ahh well I guess that's what happens when you put standard road tyres on a car then expect them to last through extreme driving conditions.

184 kph (that's as high as the digital speedo would go) in a 1982 Supra.

indicated 200 kph in a 1987 Sigma GSR-X, 2L turbo, it was only a couple years old, it was pretty much maxed out on SH 27.

road tires! they were full dunlop slicks. and the reason why the tire burst was because the rim was split right in half, something wrong with the brake caliper that did it.

lisah8,

You'dthink they would get that brakecaliper fixed as it's been the apparent cause of tyres bursting on the last 3 times they have taken public out in that car.
