on the strip 9.4@142mph in a dirty old Valiant. on the road, 220kph in an Audi Quattro.could have gone faster but the voice computer kept telling me to "check my speed", very unnerving when you're trying to concerntrate.

My post from an older thread. ------------------------------- ---------- In the very early '90s when i lived in QLD and before TD (doorslammers) got popular. I had a Super Gas VK commodore and a half built Pro Stock Camaro (ex Tony Wedlock). So the story goes like this, Gary Phillips (TAFC driver) had an old "well" used complete TA motor set up, he wanted something to enter TD but didn't have a body. So after a few days he had an ex Wedlock PS Camaro (minus Lenco) and i had 511 cubes of absolute neighbour hating motor. Buy a bell housing off Geoff Devlin, take my VK, motor and Lenco to Weldwell engineering, week and a half & $2000 later i have a COMPLETELY uncontrolible street driven (well i did drive it on the road ONCE lol) alky powered VK Commodore. ------------------------------- ------------------------------- --
The fastest i've been was in that VK, 260 kph but.only took low 8s to do it LOL.

I cranked my old Cobra Jet Mach1 out to 120mph one day - and that was fast enough to feel temporary. Also cracked a ton with the boat on behind so it would climb an oncoming hill better. And it sure did! Had a Mk1 Z that was good for a real ton - same temporary feeling in one of those too. As was doing 160kph on metal in a Subaru.

you should email suzuki and tell them , they might have to change there specs. what suzuki boulevard model were you riding,
from suzuki site 2010 Suzuki Boulevard C50/C50SE/C50TTop Speed: +/-95 mph
220 in an NZ new 94 200sx, caning it on a back road across the Taieri Plains. Got pretty floaty at that stage. One of my favourite cars though, RWD thrills on demand, but I was somewhat <ahem> less responsible back then. Back in those days the Dunedin Highway Patrol unit had their own 200sx (S14 facelift) caning it around the place. That would have been a fun gig - from memory they trialled 5 or 6 of them around the country for 6 months - this would have been about 1997 or so.

I remember them trialling them. They had the idiotic idea they could chase (and catch) the speeders. Of course they??

They even had Mini-Coopers way before then.

I think you need to have those speedos recalibrated.

225km/h as Pillion, GSXR750R never again. 220km/h in MY Cosworth Sapphire. Who had done what (Speed I mean) in the drivers seat of their own car! Fish

I managed just over 100km/h in the Corolla today, the ZZR600 went over 100 once or twice too. Speeding is scary, according to the gubbermint I will kill kids and cats if I do 111.

240ish car, tricked out rota of all things, only thing going faster was its fuel gauge (was Harnessed into the passenger seat).
and 260-270 indicated speed on a ZZR1100D Kawasaki.
