I'll save you some time. Get it serviced every 6 months (or same time as wof check) or 10 000kms which ever comes first. Use low viscosity oil. Cambelt every 100 000km or 5 years.

I dont believe sales folk should be selling logbooks in cars that are all in Japanese language

Noone would be stupid enough to BUY a logbook in japanese.
I'm guessing what you are saying is noone should pay for an english logbookfor a jap import.But on that front NOONE has to buy an owners manual. In the same way as noone has to buy a bandex. You do so because you want one.
A SERVICE manual is totally different from an owners manual.
