hi, does any-one know what kind of reason a motorbike Odometer would be lowered! E.G September 26th 2008 it was 3km then October 14th 2009 it was 24,963 then October 27th 2010 went down to 6646 any-thing i can do to find out for sure! a mate's bike so if you need to know any-more i can ask him.

Probably the 24,963 was miss typed and it was really 2496.3

That is pretty common. One of my cars is flagged as dodgy as the odometer clocked over 100,000 miles and next warrant was typed in as it read.

Change or replacement of the instrument due to failure or damage maybe.

It would just be the misreading the odo.According to Carjam, my bike did just under 600,000 km in six months.
