HI there

On the Dash of my1995 Granvia, which has just done 200,000 kms a T light has come on. Do I have to change the timing beltimmediately or can I leave it till i get home away on holiday at the mo, the belt visually looks fine. How do you get the light to go off once you replace the belt too please!

any help advise appreciated

regards

Probably nothing to worry about right away, assuming its been done in the last 100000 km, and there are no signs of perishing on the smooth side of the belt and no cracking/fraying at the base of the teeth on it.On most of those Toyotas of that era you have to pull the instrument cluster right out and change a screw in the back of it into a different hole.

Should be OK to leave it until you get home.
To turn the light off, you normally need to remove the gauge cluster and either push a reset button, or the will be a little pin that you remove from its hole and swap it into the hole beside it.
