Maximum Tyre Pressure

For caravan tyres. I'm running Bridgestone Light Truck RD613. Size 165/13
At 40psi the side wall is a bit bulgy.

65 psi for most LT 6 and 8 ply tyres is max pressure and is usually written on the sidewall as well.

now heres athought/ if you filled your tires with hellium would your caravan be lighter to tow !

Cheers. Thanks for that. There is no indication of max tyre pressure on side wall.

40 psi should be fine.
It's only a smal tyre & 40psi is a pretty reasonable amount for that size

If it gets hot after a tow, it's probably too soft.

Bear in mind that if the tyres are too tight it will shake sh*t out of everything inside the caravan.

Most caravans are to heavy for the axles and wheels that they have, I would not go over 40 pounds PSI in a tyre that size for any reason. A little bulge is probably OK if the tyre does not get hot.

LTs are made to take up to about 60psi. After advice from Firestone, I ran my last Hiace at 50psi front and 60psi rear.
Cheers Stevo

I have LT tyres fitted to all my trailers and caravan and was told by the dealer to run 40 psi minimum. I usually run them at 45psi, up to 60psi if carrying a heavy load.
