Looking at importing an impala from USA to NZ. Has anyone had experience with this! In particular looking for rough costs I can expect and whether its worth it. I can imagine it costing 5-10k but does anyone have real experience!

3500 NZD approx from Long Beach , CA to Auckland . Got a car arriving Xmas or Boxing Day. Bought 4 cars off Ebay sight unseen and theyve been better than described.

About 3K NZ from Kiwi-shipping L.A to auck/wgtn, plus about 5-600 bux of misc piffel from MAF, and unloading about 150bux plus GST at 15% on the purchase price of yur vehicle plus shipping costs. Its still worth it but make sure you look at the options available here before you go ahead, theres some real bargains to be had in NZ and AUST at the moment and you can touch and feel the NZ ones. USA cars in Oz are cheap at the moment,just look.

Kiwi shipping $1850US to Auck. Port charges/MAF approx $1200NZ Just got my car last week. Came in right on budget.

So about $1K cheaper shipping than previous poster, and 2.5K cheaper MAF costs etc, than previous poster, quite a big difference.
