Talk to diesel Dave from just 4x4 in Gleneden he will know or could do it for you
What he does not know about these trucks is not worth knowing

there was someone that was also making them into hummer look-alikes [but smaller] a couple of years ago.

That's sad.
I could understand some neanderthal with too much money wanting to go up-market, and make his Hummer look like a Safari.
But the other way around is just too silly.

but then people are going to look at it and say "what a tough truck, drive it through that river full of boulders" next minute (I refuse to say that nek thingee) there will be a totaled piece of crap hummer broken in the river.

The "Hummer" replicas only used the rolling chassis & running gear.
I know a panelbeater who does that sort of thing.

There's somebody that advertises in "CARGO" magazine.but I can't for the life of me remember who.

What you require - Well-deck or flat-deck!
Probably not much change left out of 8K whichever way.

Didn't know we'd met, guider1

You could try Panelcraft in Ashburton. I was talking to him the other day and he was in a double cab toyota that he had cut down from a surf. All certified and legal. He evan went the whole hog and did the well side to match it. A really nice factory looking job .
