Always wanted 1looking at a cheap 1that needstrans rebuild , but wondered aboutconverting to manual box . Although never came out with 1 Aston Martin DB8 shares sameengine & had manual . Was there any other car in Fordsstable then that shared the 4 L engine & had a manual box .Long shotbutnever knowya luck .

I was told that was originally a Mercury motor, maybe google!

Not a Ford motor but was used in various Lincolns and Fords including T Bird but all autos. I would be looking to adapt a trusty old Toyota 5spd, does it have a detachable bell housing! There will be a Land Rover flywheel that will probably bolt on because they apparently shared that motor and had a manual option, a bit of lightening might be required if that's the case.
