No its not like that hell good on people for having a go.BUT if you stuff up doing a cambelt you can kiss the engine goodbye.
Ok the 1st thing i would do is tripple check the timing marks. Check for any wiring plugs that have fallen of but on these motors from memory i think only 1 or 2 that have to be removed to get access to belts.
Next thing i would do is actually disconnect the battery for 15 minutes to clear any memory in computer.
Turn the heater to hot without fan on or a/c.
Without touching the accellerator start the engine and leave idling untill engine comes upto operating temp, check both top and bottom hose hot means you got circulation and engine right temp.
Go for a drive and should be fixed.
The problem will be something stupid.Disconnecting battery clears memory and by doing above it should relearn itself.
Had 1 of these do this about 2 years ago so dont panic.

thanks alan1111 ill give it ago when i go back to work wednesday and gadgit3 i didnt have the pulleys of and ill check vvti valve as well thanks
