Hi Guys,
I am doing a bit of a project at the moment and just wondered if you are a General Mechanic and you felt comfortable sharing your hourly charge out rate if you would mind doing so!
Also your geographical area might be helpful as well.
So for example $60 + GSTPalmerston North City
BTW - I don't need to know who you work for so you can keep that confidential if you like.

franchise dealers in Rotorua range from around $72 - $80 + grab snatch and take, smaller non franchise a little less as a rule.Whats the purpose of the exercise !I would also be interested in what warranty labour rates are from the franchise dealers!

A couple of figures I've got recently- asked as a customer 'over the counter' so no need for confidentiality
Crowe Subaru (ChCh) (asked TC directly) $60 or $75 depending whether it's 'simple' or if one of the top guys does it- and lubes contracted out, as it apparently worked out a bit cheaper for the customers. (+GST) last month.
Wellington Star Mercedes: $110 + some silly 'workshop insurance' on top, plus, I think, GST. 2 months ago. Paige European (across the road) significantly less, but I can't remember the actual figure.
Funnily enough, I've never asked my main mechanic in ChCh, as the cost of services is always reasonable.

They use to send their electrical work out as well a few years ago cause I use to do it when I was living In chch. Sometimes they would try themselves and generally make matters worse then bring it to us.
op $75 an hour in nelson But not mechanical. auto electricalI also do specialist electrical work which I charge out at $100 a hour.

Our Work charges me out at $100/hour incl GST, but I only see Min Wage + training fees out of it.
