dont backtrack

your wrong about porsches being a better drivers car at the limits , & you used them in the same post to claim performance shouldnt cost so much

wrong2, Feb 15, 4:41am
why do moron holden lovers drool over the W427

for half the price you can have the same performance out of a berlina

1fordluva, Feb 15, 4:43am
Read what I wrote!
Not what you want to hear!
Get real, porsche would eat that and spit it out with a smile.
I assure you,one could do a better handling car and more powerfull for less money.

Notice I said "do a better handling car" not porsche!

wrong2, Feb 15, 4:45am
says you

based on driving both the S2000 & multiple different porsche types - obviously

with a drag tune he could have another 50 hp at the wheels , & still muppets would moan

1fordluva, Feb 15, 4:46am
I f you are paying someone else to do it,it will cost you the earth!
If you can do some of it yourself you save money.
A porsche will bin it in take off any way and a straight line, they dont go around corners that badly,so I would suggest the porsche would have it.

1fordluva, Feb 15, 4:47am
Now now,dont get shirty.
The car needs more grunt chap, the NOS is just not needed.

wrong2, Feb 15, 4:53am
NOS is never needed

its a short duration gimmick, bothered with simply for the fun factor

if you think the rear engine 911's are as balanced as the S2000 at the grip limit , you simply are living in ignorance

1fordluva, Feb 15, 5:04am
You simply fail to see what is written, never said the porsche would waste it around corners ffs, said it had more power, thus getting to corner in front and staying there as that car simply would not have the grunt to get past,no matter how good it goes around corners.
175kw simply isnt enough.

scotty20001, Feb 15, 5:05am
now thats just being silly.

ninja_man, Feb 15, 5:11am
well on a track the type r would keep up, but not on the straights where the v8 has the grunt.

foxdonut, Feb 15, 5:54am
What track exactly!

1fordluva, Feb 15, 6:06am
Doesnt matter what track, anything with a straight would leave the type Rbehind

20498, Feb 15, 6:13am
+1 Haha

noodle34, Feb 15, 6:45am
It's cool. If your a pimple faced school boy

ninja_man, Feb 15, 7:07am
1995 honda integra type r = 149kw, 1060kg= 0.089 (power to weight)
2009 holden ss = 270kw, 1785kg= 0.092

so, not much differnce as you can see.

extrayda, Feb 15, 7:15am
1995 Integra type R torque = !
vs 2009 Holden ss !
Not just about HP & weight, also where the HP is and how quickly you can get to it :-)

extrayda, Feb 15, 7:17am
Holden SS with 12a Rotary @ 250hp (sorry Holden guys, ;-)
vs Holden SS with 350V8 @ 250Hp - which is likely to be quicker !

extrayda, Feb 15, 7:18am
But back to the original post. engine looks nice (bit too 'shiny for me'), body looks like something off Fast and the Furious, which was probably the intention.
If it was a *tastefully* modded standard-ish S2000, it wouldn't be too bad.

ninja_man, Feb 15, 7:22am
fair point, but u dont need as much torque in a honda as you dont have to pull as much weight as an ss

1fordluva, Feb 15, 7:29am
They may have the same horse power, however it is where they make thier torque in the rev range and the amount of it that counts chaps.

moosie_21, Feb 15, 8:30am
A Lotus7

i-n-horz, Feb 15, 11:23am
I see a car.like a Salvador Dali art piece it will appeal to some and not so much to others if at all.I see a car.

ct9a, Feb 15, 8:02pm
ahh finally someone who knows a thing or two

just to show the handling, and that power is not always an advantage

every v8 falcon or ss should have 450hp standard
