**Sorry title supposed to say RB25de!**

Heya, just wondering if there is much difference between how much petrol a 25det uses to a 25de! I have a 25det which costs about $90 to fill from empty and it gets around 450kms out of a tank, only running standard boost also but what would the 25de be like! Also what about 20de's, 25e's and 20e's! And would it being manual or auto effect the costs! Thanks, Dee

if the turbo has the FI setup for economy , as well as the right sized turbo , a turbo charger can make the same engine slightly more fuel efficient on the highway

i doubt the skyline 6 cylinder turbos are made this way by Nissan tho

manuels also improve the fuel economy

Thats actually about the same, or better than I get with my rb25de (stagea)

They are all about 12l/km when driven softly from the people I know with skylines. I dont know how you are getting 450km for $90 - thats about 25% better than any other that I know of. about 15c/km.

I have travelled nearly 200 000 kms in a 32 skyline with a RB25de in the last 12 years. Usually get 400 -500 kms from a tank of 98 octane, a little less on 95. My car ticks over at 2000 rpm at 100km/h which helps the economy on the open road. My advise is to stay with what you have.

My 33 is definitly around $90 to fill. I thought at first that it only did around 380km's to a tank but it is around 400-450kms on "v-power". I travelled from (Waiuku) Auckland to Whangamata and then back to Auckland and that was half a tank. On google maps it says from Waiuku to Whanga it is 141km's so. my car does about 280km's to half a tank. Once under half i can get to and from work about 2 times which is about 160kms all up.

I guess the 33 must have a smaller tank, because its about 57l to fill my 32 from when the light comes on. Light comes on and I have about 30-40km left best case

r32 has a 60L tank, r33 has 65L tank, r32 gtr and r33 gtr have a 72L tank.
