1993 was when most manufacturers were starting to change over, could possibly be either,If there are no stickers under the bonnet stating whats fitted and what the oil and recharge capacities etc are, have a look at the charge ports, the R12 ports are quite small compared to the 134a ones.Retrofitting is normally a case of fitting new screw on charge ports, thoroughly evacuating/vacuuming the system, replacing the drier and recharging with the newer gas and new compresser oil.The problem with doing this to these old systems is that they are way more prone to leakage, either quickly or over time, the flexible hoses, seals and O rings used throughout the system aren't made for the finer molecule structure of 134a.On most cars it isn't really worth it.
