andy61, Feb 23, 6:52pm
Put a rotary in it,lol

ct9a, Feb 23, 7:21pm
3.8 supercharged.i hear they are supercar material

3962, Feb 23, 7:51pm
Put a tap in the line for the rear brakes.

paull, Feb 23, 7:56pm
the 3.8 were a good motor in there day, as for the supercharged version they were never really any good performance wise, most people think ouuu yeeaa supercharged,,,, but really those were just glorified hairdriers and didnt put out that much more h/p.

don't listen to the ct9a tosser he doesn't know the first thing about these engines the reason why they don't perform as well as you would expect is because Holden watered them down so they wouldn't embarrass the V8's go to http://www.maceengineering.com.au/epages/shop.sf and buy a 10psi pulley with the removal kit, if you want you can go higher up to 14 psi safely on standard internals before you have to change the fuel system note that as they are not interooled 98 octane must be used to avoid the knock sensor pulling the engine back, make sure you remove the cat converters as they are very choked up from the factory, if you do those mods you should be running in excess of 460nm of torque from idle and around 330-350hp depending on pulley choice in a ute that would go very well, hope this helps if you got any questions just ask.

ct9a, Feb 23, 9:33pm
hahaha

wow 330-350hp from a 3.8 s/c engine CLAP CLAP thought you just stated they were watered down !

ct9a, Feb 23, 9:36pm
and a stock evo 7-9 ,wrx or gtr would still own it,even watered down ones that are "206kw"

mate give up and get a hsv,not the lady version

skully13, Feb 23, 9:37pm
First up, there was no factory supercharged VP ute. So you either have a later model Commodore motor fitted or someone has modified the original motor. Either way the Nitros will give a good boost, but don't expect the motor to last very long without mods to support the nitros.

ct9a, Feb 23, 9:38pm
so be a supercar for 5mins !

skully13, Feb 23, 9:41pm
Don't think so.

skully13, Feb 23, 9:43pm
Never be a Supercar, pretty much like the same way an Evo, a Wrx, or Gtr will never be one.

attitudedesignz, Feb 23, 10:01pm
Couple of things everyone has failed to asertain.

Is it a supercharged Ecotec out of a VT!

Is it the ute that was for sale on TM awhile ago with a side mounted Toyota SC14 supercharger!

Or is the motor the original VP motor with a Vortex (or similar) supercharger!

As the OP only posted once with a vague question me thinks it's a 'wind up'.

scotty20001, Feb 23, 10:10pm
exactly

scotty20001, Feb 23, 10:11pm
lets put a boat on the back of one of them and see how long the engine lasts, remove the turbo and they are around 80kw

scotty20001, Feb 23, 10:12pm
and yet they will still do 400,000km producing that power lets see one of your Jap shitboxes you love so much pull that off.

scotty20001, Feb 23, 10:13pm
it could be a VS Supercharged ute, the supercharger they run is an Eaton M90

scotty20001, Feb 23, 10:14pm
too bad there are a couple of things those are missing its called suspension damping and ride comfort side airbags, and room for 5 people in comfort.

attitudedesignz, Feb 23, 10:17pm
Still a supercharged Ecotec.

1fordluva, Feb 23, 10:19pm
Ha ha you live on an island, when was the last time you got to drive anything over 70kmh ha ha ha ha

johnf_456, Feb 23, 10:49pm
Thats a bit harsh calling people tossers, just because you are very stern about your perfect v8 holden.

ct9a, Feb 23, 10:50pm
GTR is a super car (r35)

ct9a, Feb 23, 10:54pm
