Your a crack-up sifty.nah I've had this ol'girl for 23+yrs and her look wouldn't be fit'n for an accountant, banker, doc or any other stage play type she's definately a grass roots no sh!t kind'a ride ;)

sifty, Oct 27, 9:04pm
Just joshin, think you've posted pics before of your rides, and besides, I'm heading towards an age when I too may consider a tractor one day (minus the tassels).

i-n-horz, Oct 28, 6:37am
Nut'n wrong with a tassel or two sifty I just need to be a'lil gentle with the Mrs D-cups upon removal :P

The beach hop started as a Rock n roll festival not a Karaoke pub nite. The car bit has kinda taken over somewhat but they are pumpkin pie cars not rice noodles. Pretty simple really eh!

justincase5, Oct 28, 2:13pm
Just take the 1954 Austin A30 instead .you know the one, The pregnant Rice Bubble ! LOL

justincase5, Oct 28, 2:15pm
Or enter a Nissan Terrano, that is just as common as a mustang is these days.

sifty, Oct 28, 2:18pm
Actually they are pretty cool, more so than a generic 70's japper.

fryan1962, Oct 28, 2:21pm
I have seen you trying to flog the sprinter before, The true value of your car is what someone is pre pared to pay for me $1500. I would advise against going to beach hop as your toyota has paper thin panels and will rust out soon after the event is over, I have a classic car but have not entered in any drifting events as I have the sense to work out it is not suitable

As much as you wish and hope the toyota is not going to make it
might be a classic in Japan take it there and see

scoobeey, Oct 28, 2:23pm

bellky, Oct 31, 7:47pm
haha - like it how it says "great due up for beach hop" like you have bills 'due'.

fryan1962, Oct 31, 7:50pm
Maybe you could sleep in it and save accommodation costs

modie61, Oct 31, 7:50pm
It probably had a due on it this morning, thats why it runs ruff. Lol.

japiwi.boys, Nov 1, 2:13am
That would be perfect for you belchy, Pushing Distance to the Beach Hop and maybe just in your price range if you get your welfare payments saved up in time, You will have to fork out another couple of bucks from the local $2 Shop for a V8 badge so it can get into the hop though.

chris_051, Nov 1, 2:35am
cmon cobba not everyone is able to turn over 10 mill worth of used cars per year.

paull, Nov 1, 2:39am
whos belchy !

japiwi.boys, Nov 1, 2:40am
It is not as many cars as the figure suggests, There were a lot of high end cars in that turnover, Turnover being the key word, not to be confused with profit.

sifty, Nov 1, 2:19pm
'not to be confused with profit'
or reality.

bellky, Nov 1, 2:53pm
so what were you. a car salesman at a toyota dealership!

10,000,000 divided by 36,000 equals 278 cars.

foxdonut, Nov 1, 9:34pm
Don't be stupid - he sold the other two povo spec econo box japanese things for 3.3 million to classic car collectors (since they're worth so much they deserve a five page thread about the subject apparently)

compchick, Nov 1, 9:34pm
The fact is the Beach Hop is for pre '72 vehicles, not mid 70's Japanese vehicles.Their decision is final the end, I'm not sure what is hard to understand about that!We have a XC Falcon Coupe which we can't show (as it's 1978) but I'm not going to have a big cry over it, we'll go to Kumeu Car Show instead that's fine.End of the day go and show your Sprinter at "Fast 4s" etc or try these options, http://blog.retro-classics.co.nz/!p=3834 http://www.japanesenostalgiccar.co.nz/home

fryan1962, Nov 1, 11:21pm
I nearly bought xc coupe in the day,,I ended up with XA fairmont instead

whqqsh, Nov 1, 11:30pm
Being sensible doesnt enter into it. some just want to have a big grzzle & cry

lookoutas, Nov 2, 12:38am
You can still go - and those that matter will appreciate your car being there. Unlike someone in a Crappa Jappa.
