Yeah 30 on Fridays when 4 drivers on is what i was quoted - and week nights when working 2 of you normally 15-20 each

Still i am only going to be doing it to top up income not live off it lol

So what you reckon your vehicle costs you per km to run!

male_timaru, Jan 13, 10:07am
With everything included - (insurance, servicing, maintenance, wof, rego, fuel and cost of vehicle itself) @ $4.50 per km at present (1800cc Auto)

I wrote @ $4.50 because the actual cost is $4.48798 !

Add depreciation for kms travelled

male_timaru, Jan 13, 11:18am
depreciation is accounted for in cost of vehicle itself

I use to work for an outfit here in ChCh, I was employed as a contractor, had to pay my own taxes, running costs, insurances etc, they payed me a sum per delivery.no hourly rate.
For me it worked out great but IRD sent me a letter each time I submitted my tax return of earnings and costings and said I was running at a loss and should look for suitable finacially sustainable work.in other words I got a tax rebate against my taxes from my full-time job and got a refund.

I would say it was an enjoyable job.

Uh!

Depreciation is the reduction in value of the vehicle and is a true cost of running a vehicle. for example, you do 10,000km pa and the vehicle value drops by say $2000 in that year, then it's costing you 20c/km in depreciation to run the vehicle.

That said, are you sure the $4.50/km you quoted is correct or should that be 45c/km!

discuss the Pizza companys car insurance policy. If he crashes in work time surely they accept some sort of liability!

ralphdog1, Jan 14, 12:55am
OK, I will supply a suitable vehicle to you including fuel for $2.25/km, meaning on your figures you will be saving @ least 50%.
When do we start!

owene, Jan 14, 12:59am
I'll do it for $2.00/km including insurance and fuel.

r15, Jan 14, 1:19am
this could be right if he doesnt drive far per year

superdave0_13, Jan 14, 1:55am
Is averaging a delivery every 10 mins really easy money! You'd have to be fanging it everywhere wouldn't you!

Yes I was. There was two drivers on, and the day following was a public holiday, and those nights are really busy. I was taking up to four or even five at a time. You don't have to travel far as you only cover a couple of suburbs.
