Drive shaft is making a grinding noise when i jack up wheels and put in drive. Is this still safe to drive around! How costly will this be to replace! 1999 A32 Nissan Maxima ST

Are you sure its not a worn out brake pad or wheel bearing! Depending on what it is, but I would say its not safe to drive around on. If you are unsure get it looked at

You can hear its coming from the gear box end more then the wheel end.

Could be the diff or anything really - probably best to have diagnosed by a garage
