Cambelt replacement - reputable and reasonable?

I need to get the cambelt done on my Honda Integra soon. I see on some of the "1-day" type places advertised online that a couple of garages offer cheap deals, (saw one today for $299 all up) but they all seem to be over on Auckland's North Shore, no good to me living and working in South Auckland. Anyone know of someone reputable anywhere between Manukau and Pukekohe! Thanks in advance.

Yep, Neil Park Autos in East Tamaki, maket themselves as cambelt specialists, not many workshops in auckalnd would have done more replacements in recent years.

Who ever is closest to your home or work.

mugenb20b thanks for your comment but it's NO help at all. If I knew who was reputable and reasonable I wouldn't have been on here asking in the first place! Thunderbolt - thanks, I'll ring them for a price :-)

Cambelt's are generally straight forward as long as the person knows that they are doing, and since its a common thing, most garage's will do it. Best to get your waterpump, idlers, tensioners, seals etc replaced as well since you are getting it done. I saw the $299 deal as well and its a good deal but its just for cambelt replacement only.

Yes I would get everything done at once - but never realised that the $299 was for the cambelt only. not such a cheap deal after all then. I guess it pays to read the small print.

We use Church St motors in Onehunga. Never been disappointed with them. Service or pricing.

$299 Will only be cambelt wont be tensioners idler bearings or seals. Whats the bet when they strip it they will then tell you it needs everything else. By that stage you have no choice because engine is in bits. I do about 2 cambelts a week and to do it probably you are in for roughly $750.00 upwards but that includes everything including water pump and new Inhibotor/ antifreeze etc.
I like to tell the customer what the max charge will be so they dont get a shock at the end of the job.
