every 100,000kms or 10 years, whichever comes first. Not an overly expensive exercise. Cost will vary slightly depending if SOHC or DOHC.

if it a jap import do it around 50k as they often sit idling al night in japan so although the car has only done 50k the mtr has done double

because people have this funny perception that all cars do in Japan is sit idling stuck in traffic jams. I would focus more on a known service history in Japan - due to their nature of upgrading every few years many owners don't bother servicing the car at all because they are just going to move onto the next shortly anyhow.
