^ My darling wife found this out the hard way. $1,300 over in user charges = $1,300 plus $2,600 fine.
UJ was not happy with a $3,900 bill!
EDIT: At least that's what I recall the fine was. I could be wrong

Good basic starting point is 4000kms @ $187 (domestic/private usage diesel) Yours is out by 25,000 . so thats arrhhh . na bugger it.you work it out & you will have a little change out of the total. Better still . RING THEM with your rego & they will tell you EXACTLY

No difference in domestic/ private as you put it and commercial Ruc.
Van is type 1 and normally 2tonne required. Approx $46 per 1000 ks plus licence fee each purchase. $1100 will clear the arears.

There are several different levels in the govt admin fee's for commercial users &slightly less for domesticusers, depending on HOW & what arrangement is used .but yea the Ruc's componant is the same. Admin fee's range from approx $9.xxdown to approx $3.50, but this only really matters if you are doinghuge km's or buying 1000km's each time

The admin fee's ARE important as well because most ppl quote the cost of JUST the Ruc km's, with out mentioning the admin fee's as well.
It's in the same annoyance sector as failing to mention GST is added on that fantastic sale price purchase you just made.

They're only important as the above poster says when you're buying small distance licenses many times. Otherwise they become insignificant.

25000 lol i just purchased 2000km for my van because it was 750k over to have some miles again . it cost 98$ for 2000 it be 2400$ just to bring yoursup to 0 oweing.

report it stolen and remove the odometer . then set fire to it quicksmart ps you also will have to pay what it was recorded at last wof overdue likely. so best would be to sell it to somone who is dead soon as then that person will have to pay the ruc. and if you driven all them miles then you should pay it your self its only fair. personally i cant see how you could get away with 25k overdue. I got a warning letter when my hilux was overdue just a few km straight after wof. and it was only overdue because the auction never paid up the ruc as they said they will. and i found i could not pay ruc while it was on hold so they where probably liking that fact.

my quote was including admin so i reduced the top ammont a bit as admin fee is only charged once but it be close to what i quoted and a l300 is classed 2 ton

25,000 if I read that #1 correct. Should be just on or just over $1100 to top it up to zero (based on 2 ton sticker) Something like 3 grand plus top up if caught.

mrfixit i just used the calculator i paid for my trafic renault for 2 ton and 2 units 98.40$ at AA no mentioning how much is admin fee so 25: 2 is 12.5 times 98.40 ah yea its 1230$ something went wrong up there.

I could just ring them but guessing is far more fun.
$187 for 4000km . divide 25000km by 4000km x by 187 . remove an estimated amount for multiple admin = roughly $1100
