4wd ute for $25k

i am looking at 4wd utes for about $25k. what would you recommend, it will be used as my main family vehicle, occasional towing and occasional 4wd use

Holden Rodeo 3.0 litre turbo diesel, or Mazda Bounty (same as Ford Courier) 2.5 litre turbo diesel. Mazdas are quieter, more powerful and have a nicer gearbox. Rodeos are a little bit more reliable, but noisy and the gear changes feel sticky. Both are good all round vehicles though.

for once i agree with jazz. kinda
the same applies to all wagons really, eg a surf costs half what a hilux does, and a terrano costs half what a navara does, an explorer costs half what a courier does. (though not at all similar)

and the toerag is a nice car to ride in- never driven one myself
