Nice call on the Alfa 75, those really are a lot of fun. And quite the forgotten driving machine.
How do you find the Audi 80! I had some bad experiences with one and got scared off another, I have always wondered if I just had bad luck with that one or whether they are all a bit temperamental. If they are usually O.K I would be tempted to get another.

thats the only euro i've driven any distance is a late 80's audi 80, from auck to palm nth & back. round town it was like a whale out of water but loved the open road, was cruising through national park and passenger asked what speed i was doing and ooopsy daisy i was on 170

Yes, those puppy's were built for economical high speed cruising on the Autobahn. Not that flash round town at all, however you should drive some Audi's from last decade. They are quite a different beast now, high speed cruising is still their thing but they are responsive and agile in town now as well.

from the day it arrived i knew it wasnt right so now the motor is in bits and in need of new piston kit and a re bore and so on.
