So ever thought landcruiser + ute = ?

zephyrheaven, Apr 24, 3:32am
Seen quite a few down in central, perfect when your sick of a hilux

thejazzpianoma, Apr 24, 4:02am
Obscenely overpriced junk!
You can buy a Porsche Cayane or VW Toureg with a tiny fraction of the km's on the clock and half the age for that much money. Nice concept but some people have far more money than sense if they are buying those for that sort of coin.

kcf, Apr 24, 4:16am
$54k!That price absolutely has to be wrong

vtecintegra, Apr 24, 4:20am
Its a Landcruiser 100 with the big diesel.

Have a look at the others on Trademe and you'll see they retain value extremely well.

andrew241, Apr 24, 4:36am
I bet it rides nice being so long, however it would be fun and games to park in town.

chris_051, Apr 24, 4:39am
For that price you could get a Dodge Ram/F250/Silverado turbo diesel V8 that will do 10 times the work and last just as long.

skin1235, Apr 24, 5:53pm
what sort of chassis modes did they do, or more to the point should have done, man that thing has some serious overhand back there, would make it handle like a pre teen schoolgirl if you tossed a full bale of balage on it's back

http://www.tundra.co.nz/(These are the 'from the factory' big toyotas) http://www.bunce.co.nz/( Better to take off the wellside andput a tray on one from here !) http://forum.ih8mud.com/70-series-tech/183243-70-series-double-cab.html
http://www.rwvconversions.com/( Prefer the Aussie version, built-inroll cage etc shows they understand off road work)

richardmayes, Apr 24, 9:17pm
Not with a flat deck.

vtecintegra, Apr 24, 9:20pm
Obviously that only works to a point.

asa50, Apr 24, 9:50pm
What would the turning circle be!

skin1235, Apr 24, 10:24pm
no worse than the original - they haven't altered the wheelbase at all, basically chopped off the rear quarter and jammed a full deck in it's place
entry angles and exit angles have definitely been changed, almost makes it useless for it's original intended purpose, mind you it would take some serious manufacturing to put the 600mm of chassis it needs in, they were too soft in the chassis to start with and if you added more it would bend itself in two

mantagsi, Apr 24, 10:27pm
About 80km roughly

tnt423, Apr 24, 10:32pm
Look at the pics again, it has had the chassis extended the wheels are normally behind the rear doors.

xacoon, Apr 24, 10:39pm
would have to say that is the ugliest flat deck convert I have seen, a lot of the high country boys use them, but the finish is a lot nicer, looks factory even. this looks like the boys got bored one night and took all their panelbeating skills to it without thinking about the finished product. dunno why they have never brought out a double cab cruiser from factory, I reckon it would be a big seller here.

button41, Apr 25, 6:15am
on a surf maybe, with a van rear, but on a landy d/cab, no they don't, theyre tucked in under the little short useless wellside that in those pics they threw away and clipped a full size flatdeck in it's place

button41, Apr 25, 6:17am
even a cab and a half nissan with a full deck behind it looks better balanced that that drunken excuse for a rumuera tractor

deanfreeman, Apr 25, 6:21am
in ozzy they have thees but 6wd masive utes

deanfreeman, Apr 25, 6:23am
came out factory not converted though theres a few older patrols or isuzus alsorts most of em big v8 turbo diesel

skin1235, Apr 25, 5:08pm
yep, you got me, can see the difference, still reckon it needed another 600mm in there though

was me up there, on wifes computer last night
