Might as well get a good quality filter from Honda for $30.71

hutchk, Apr 18, 5:25am
Last oil change I bought an aftermarket filter for my '86 Jag from Repco, cost me over $50.
This time around I went to Beacham Jaguar (builders of mega-expensive modernised Jags for those with way too much money) and bought the genuine article for $38.

sw20, Apr 18, 5:34am
The dealer. $38 incl for a genuine Renault filter.

pollymay, Apr 18, 7:18am
Segedins, I was getting toyota filters for $2 a pop at one point lol. The manager threw a wobbly at me having access to trade prices though :(

So now I use whatever, when supercheap has sales on I buy them. Ryco and valvoline are alright. NO FRAM, fram are shit.

sw20, Apr 18, 9:01am
Can you get me genuine Renault for cheaper!

ema1, Apr 19, 4:19am
In my case TOYOTA genuine.

intrade, Apr 19, 5:13am
what 4 you want geniuenif the filter is made for renault then there is no problem with any aftermarket one.for a filter its not worth it as shipping from europe is a one off fee of 50euro . i got me 2 tireod rackends and a tailight for 280$ for my renault van and renault agent wanted me to pay 240$ for 1 rackend lol.

sw20, Apr 19, 5:28am
I think I might need to replace the rear shockies in the Clio at some stage soon. They are 48 gbp for genuine. So around $100 each. I wonder how much the local stealership wants. Probably $300 a piece.

intrade, Apr 19, 5:31am
ring em but yea . I got monroes for my fiat from auto-one the cheapest was almost 430$ or so in 2006ask all for quotes. importing make sure you keep below 480$ nz including fraight charge or customs will slap on 20% tax and gst to your purchase.

Repco are such a rip for the crap they sell, atleast goin to supercheap I know if its cheap an im getting what i pay for although some of the stuff there is actually quite durable and works great! Ripco= -1 Supercheap =+1

jasongroves, Dec 28, 8:55am
I go to BNT personally, for filters especially or Repco if I have to (I have a trade card which helps a little).
For oil, I just go where the best deal is at the time.

phillip.weston, Dec 28, 8:56am
what car needed a $27 filter! Am guessing for $60 with oil it wasn't a diesel vehicle! I remember when Repco wanted $27 for a Subaru CV boot kit, and that was on green card discount.

vag.central, Dec 28, 9:10am
I buy mine from the dealer, $16 last time

mike107, Dec 28, 9:13am
Super sheep, $13 Oil filter for Primera.

twink19, Dec 28, 9:36am
BNT

phillip.weston, Dec 28, 9:37am
try other branches pap, the oil you are after is the Gulf Western 20W50 in a blue bottle. I purchased 4 bottles when on special, and then got 4 of the Castrol 15W40 when it was on special for $20 each.

Surely the KA8 takes the same Z79X or Z142 filter most the other Hondas take! (and incidentally Mitsubishi and Subaru).

dent, Dec 28, 9:38am
Repco but all at trade price which can be a heel of a lot cheaper than retail.

phillip.weston, Dec 28, 9:38am
if the V6 in the KA8 has the same thread pitch and rubber gasket ring mating surface diameter I would be inclinded to switch to the more common Z79X anyway, you can get them for less than $5 each from www.staparts.co.nz.
