would you mind if a prospective buyer tried their childrens carseats in it!
Some seats don't work well in certain cars and theres no way to tell until the seat is in the car - especially with 3 across the back

I don't see why not. Not many cars can fit 3 across the back, all depends on the size of the car seats I suppose.

I wouldn't mind at all and would be very suspicious of any seller that did mind if you wanted to try your car seats. You should be checking any secondhand car out very thoroughly in my opinion.
