http://www.excaliburclassics.com/85excal0908.html Curious as I adore the lines of this car is there anything else like this out there ! Not small car though, I know a lot of small kit cars have sweeping guards.

PantherWestwinds.
The DeVille is the closest looking to the Excalibur, there are none in NZ to my knowledge.

If you are just after "sweeping guards and a small car", then staying in the panther line, a Lima or Kallista, Kallista being later than the Lima, aluminium body on a custom chassis but a lot of Ford (Escort, Capria and Cortina). The Lima is a fibreglass body on Magnum (larger engine Viva) running gear. There are a few in the country.
Of course if you have the money, then look for a Morgan.
There are plenty of Triumph based MG T kits out there for not much money.I don't know what their performance is like.

Went past a what I think was a Merc 500K on Brougham street Chch today, I think the plate might have been "1934 K" something like that, if it was a real 500K, it is worth a very very large amount of money.
I was in the Panther, we exchanged waves as I cruised past - rule Brittania! (I will conveniently ignore his 5L straight 8, if your car is worth that much, I doubt the supercharger gets a workout often ;-))
